Since its establishment many years ago, the great Yoruba movie industry has produced a lot of talents who are today a big brand in the industry. These set of actresses have a lot going for them and turns heads at social gatherings, hence, they have numerous admirers and suitors. Though, some of them have been in the industry for a while, but a few of them started paying their dues this year. Right now, there are several actresses in the Yoruba movie industry who have their kids out of wedlock both new and old. They are as follow:
TAMILORE OJO MARTINS:
Sexy and beautiful Ibadan based actress, Tamilore Martins-Ojo is one of the Successful actresses currently rocking the scene in the Yoruba make believe industry. She got into acting not long ago but she has been able to carve a niche for herself. One thing many people don’t know about her is the fact that she is a single mother. Tammy as she is fondly called has a 17 years old son who is undergraduate of Law (300 Level) at the University of Ibadan. His name is Omokunmi Afonja. The Alapa movie producer, Tamilore we learnt had the boy when she was schooling at the Federal College of Education, Oyo State.
Another successful new single mum in the industry is gorgeous looking actress, Titi Adeoye who came into acting in 2008 and she has been there doing her stuff slow and steadily. She got into acting when she joined Mr Latin production institute to study acting after which she has featured in series of home videos. Away from that, Titi is also known as a singer and a script writer. Titi is a proud mother of 12 years old girl named Salome. She gave birth to her in March 8 2004 when she was a student at Teachers’ College. Salome is presently in Junior Secondary School 2.
Pretty actress, Fatima Iwalewa is among the new actresses shaking the industry by taking part in most blockbuster movies. The Ogun State-born actress delivered her 7-years old son named Damilare Adenrele in January 3rd 2008 when she was seeking admission to study Theater Art at the Lagos State University. The boy is presently in basic 2 at one of the expensive Nursery and Primary schools in Lagos.
Next on this list is beautiful lady, Habibat Jinad who came into acting in 2008 and she has been able to carve a niche for herself in the industry. Apart from acting, she is also a presenter with wave-making Yoruba Television station (Orisun TV) presenting a programme called “Miliki Express”. She is also a single mother.
SEUN ABIDEMI OKUNUBI:
Talking about prominent single mums in the Yoruba movie industry, big and bold popular actress, Seun Abidemi Okunubi, the producer of the then blockbuster movie, Ounje Ewo is one of them. She became a mother in 2003 when she discovered that she was pregnant. Then she was a 100 level undergraduate of the University of Ibadan studying Mass Communication. She dropped out to deliver the baby on March 13th 2003. She gave birth to a bouncing baby boy named Mayowa Ogunsuyi. The 12 years old boy is now in Senior Secondary School in Lagos. Seun made her return to school but it was Ibadan Polytechnic to restudy Mass Communication in 2005.
In the Yoruba movie industry today, one babe who movie directors and producers don’t joke with is Yetunde Bakare, the producer of the much anticipated movie titled, “Asiyan” that was released a few days ago and it featured top Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola. Yetunde got her baby called Larry Okikiola on April 19th 2002 and the boy is now in Junior Secondary School 3. Yetunde got pregnant when she was in her first semester at the University of Ado Ekiti when she was studying Microbiology.
For Tokunbo Falana, she is currently nursing her second child. The actress who joined the industry not long ago had her first child out of wedlock about 3 years ago and she recently delivered another baby.
Another single mum rocking the industry is popular actress, Lola Ajibola who has amazing figure with vital statistics. For her, she got pregnant of her when she was seeking admission in 2000. Her daughter is named Dotun Awoyemi, the 15-years-old girl who is now in Senior Secondary School 2 was living with Lola’s mum in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State before the woman died a year ago.
