“Things I Did Behind Closed Door To Become An Actress”- Screen Diva, Joke Bello Reveals
Joke Bello is one of the hottest babes currently dominating the Yoruba movie genre of Nollywood. She was born and brought up in Lagos but she is from Ilorin, Kwara State. Education for her started from C and S College, Laduba, Ilorin. She completed her secondary school education in 2007. Thereafter, she gained admission at the Polytechnic Ibadan. She graduated in 2015, and shortly after that, Joke joined Femi Adebayo’s J15 School of Performing Arts where she acquired the basic knowledge about film-making. Recently, Yorubamoviegist.com had an exclusive chat with her, and the damsel revealed to us what really brought her into acting.
According to her, acting is something I have wanted to do as a teenager, but there was no opportunity for me to become one as of then. But after I graduated from Ibadan Poly, I saw J15 advert and I placed a call to them. I was invited for an interview. Weeks after, I received a congratulatory message from them that I have been given an admission. That was how my acting career started in 2010”.
On the challenges she faced at J-15, the pretty actress further narrated that, “I faced a lot of challenges when I joined but thank God, the rest are now history. The first challenge was that, when I got there, we were told to be respectful to one and other, especially our seniors, no matter how old they may be. I can’t imagine running an errand for someone I am much older than. We washed toilet and all that and that is what makes me what I am today in the entertainment industry”, she said.
