The name Alhaja Motunrayo Adeoye is a force to reckon with in the Yoruba movie industry. She is among the top 10 most featured Veteran Yoruba actresses rocking the scene. She is a niece to first class Oba in Yoruba Land, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alafin of Oyo town, Oyo State.
Before now, not many are aware of this, but looking at her face, you will agree with us that they both wear the same tribal marks. Madam Adeoye, who starred in Kunle Afod’s hit movie, “Igbekun”, yorubamoviegist.com gathered, was born into the royal family of Alafin of Oyo, who is her father’s kid brother.
Mama spent most of her life in the town until after she got admission to study Electronics at the Technical College, Osogbo, Osun State. Shortly after that, she came to Lagos and she spent 7 years before she returned to Ibadan when she got a job at BCOS as a studio/audio manager.
She later jetted to Switzerland for a 7 months course to acquire more knowledge about the profession in 1979. Education for her started at Ansarudeen Primary School, Agunpopo, Oyo Town, from there to Anglican Secondary School in the same town before her higher education.
