There is no denying the fact that there are 3 strong men currently dominating the Yoruba movie industry and they are no other than Muyiwa Ademola, Femi Adebayo and Odunlade Adekola. These guys are 3 of the top flight actors in the Yoruba movie industry at the moment. However, what many don’t know is the fact that the 3 of them share a lot of things in common and also how they rock 3 states in the south-west Nigeria even at the government level.
Muyiwa, Femi and Odunlade have certain things in common which are unknown to many of their fans.
While Muyiwa and Femi owns their theatre school, Authenitic School of Drama and J-15 Media Network in Ibadan, Odunlade owns Odunlade Adekola Productions in Abeokuta, Muyiwa and Femi are very shrewd, the same thing with Odunlade. Aside this, the 3 of them in real life, or when they are not on set, are very playful and funny, this is aside the fact that they all are great role interpreters, especially in the comedy movie genre, which is now the in-thing in the Yoruba movie sector, Muyiwa, Femi and Odunlade are leading actors whose faces fans love to see in films.
Though, Muyiwa is from Abeokuta, Ogun State but he is the number 1 actor to reckon with in Ibadan, Oyo State. Anytime there is an event from the state government which related to Nollywood, Muyiwa is always the best hand to call on board to execute the project. Authentic has Muyiwa is fondly called by fans and friends has been dominating the sector for over 2 decades. He came to stardom when he released his blockbuster flicks like Ori, Ile, Alapadupe etc.
Femi Adebayo was born in Lagos but he is a native of Ilorin, Kwara State. He is based in Ibadan but very much popular in Ilorin. Despite the fact that his dad, Oga Bello is also an actor, Femi is seen as the ambassador of Kwara State. He was appointed Special Adviser to the state governor some months back.
Odunlade on the other hand is from Ekiti State, he grew up in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He started school from Saint John RCM Primary School, and later Saint Peter’s College, both in Abeokuta. He joined acting industry, professionally in 2005, and in his less than 10 years in the industry, Odunlade Adekola has featured in over 70 Yoruba movies. Odunlade is also strong at the government house in Ogun State. He was used as the face of tax ministry of the state. He is also the ambassador of Ekiti state where he hails from.
