A fresh war is currently boiling underground between fast rising Yoruba actress, Yetunde Bakare and Moroof Afolayan, CEO Almaroof Standard Investment, one of the leading Yoruba movie marketers, over the ownership of a new movie titled Asiyan which was released on Monday 5th October 2015.Yetunde-Bakare
According to the information at our disposal, the actress recently shot the movie which both parties have agreed on the marketing and the distribution of the movie but Almaroof failed to fulfill his own part of the deal. Information has it that Yetunde and Almaroof agreed that the film will be released a day before Sallah and it failed to hit the shelves until Monday 5th October 2015 when the film came out without the producer’s knowledge. Yetunde is said to be out of Lagos and the marketer couldn’t informed her. almBut what we learnt that prompted the silent fight between them is the fact that when the flick was released, Yetunde’s name was removed as the producer and Dayo Afolayan who is said to be the marketer’s second name was used instead on the jacket of the film. This, we gathered, got the actress cum producer upset.
