Some months back, City  People magazine unveiled the list of the 2017 City People Movie Awards which has the likes of Fathia Balogun, Toyin Aimakhu, Yewande Adekoya and others in the best actress of the year category.
This set of actresses have a lot of things working for them in the industry, especially in 2017. Fathia Balogun on her path has been the face of the most hit movies emanating from the industry lately. She has been busy jumping from one location to another, one of which was the Sola Arikusa that is currently shaking the industry.
This is a movie that Fathia had to go bald. The part 1 and 2 of the movie were released and the movie buff can’t wait to see the concluding part of the movie.
Another actress who is not resting nature in giving her fans the best of her is gorgeously looking Toyin Aimakhu now known as Toyin Abraham. Apart from the fact that she has been featuring in most blockbuster movies, the Edo State-born actress is also shaking cinemas across the globe with her Alakada Reloaded.
 Kudi Klepto as Yewande Adekoya is also called joined the race of best actresses in the Yoruba movie industry this year. This is because the Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State-born actress raised the bar with fantastic movies coming from her stable.
 The actress, who is the producer of Igbo Dudu, Kurukuru, Omo Elemosho, Kudi Kleptos and others produced another hit movies in 2017 which include Irubo and Iyawo Adedigba. Away from these, Yewande has also featured in several movies.  Others include Jaye Kuti, Bimbo Oshin, Ayo Adesanya, Iyabo Ojo and Regina Chukwu.
With all, being nominated in the same category, the battle line for the best actress of the year has definitely been drawn because only one will have to go home with the award plaque which will be given by the organizers later today, October 8, 2017.
