The carnival is to showcase the diversity and richness of the Nigeria culture and its language and lifestyle. Holding for the first time in Maryland, the carnival like event which include symposium, interactive workshop, seminars and street carnival will include different states having their stands and showcasing the uniqueness of each state and region.Packaged by TKY Global Investment, the event seeks to promote our dying culture. Speaking more on the event, Yemi Blaq who is from Ondo State says, “The carnival seeks to project the Nigerian culture. The event will showcase the real culture of Nigeria. Imagine us using calabash to drink our palm wine and taking pepper soup and other traditional dishes. All that including a street carnival will be showcased. We will interface with African American community in Maryland. We are partnering with the state government culture and tourism boards”.Also Mr Sanyaolu and a movie marketer known as Mosebolatan noted that the Nigeria carnival will be one of its kind among other carnivals held in the United States. “We believe we can use these for to market our culture and bring investors to different areas in the country. Our tourism industry has been left untapped, we intend to use this to promote what we have in Nigeria”, says Mr Sanyaolu.
